This is a beautiful rainbow coloured wood, very nice to hold, has a nice weight to it. This rug hooking hook is also designed for a left handed rug hooking hooker with the thumb groove. A right handed person could hold it but would have to put the index finger at the thumb groove location. This hook is also bent to reduce the wrist twisting action that can cause fatigue for many.
